The essentials of a game:
- 1 Leader card.
- A deck made up of 50 cards with the same colors as your Leader card. A deck cannot contain more than four copies of a card with the same card number.
- A DON deck!! containing 10 DON!! cards.
Setting up a game:
- Place your deck and your DON deck!! well mixed in their respective area.
- Place your Leader card in your Leader area.
- Decide who starts with Rock-Paper-Scissors or any other means.
- Draw the top 5 cards of your deck.
- You can choose to shuffle all the cards in your hand back into your deck and draw the top 5 cards from your deck. You can only do this action once.
- Place a number of cards equal to the Life value of your Leader
from the top of your deck in your face down Life zone. - The player who goes first begins his turn.
Areas - The game areas:
The image below shows the different "areas" of a game.
The Character Area, Leader Area, Stage Area and Cost Area are part of what is called the "field".
Victory Conditions
- Succeed in an attack on the opposing Leader, when he has 0 Life cards left.
- The number of cards remaining in your opponent's deck reaches 0.
Course of a round:
The first player starts the game, which proceeds according to the diagram below.
Refresh Phase:
- Flip all the DON cards! attached to your "field" in your "cost area".
- Change all your cards in your "field" from the "rested" position to the "active" position.
Draw Phase:
Draw 1 card from the top of your deck.
(The starting player does not draw a card on their first turn.)
DON!! Phase
Place the 2 DON!! from the top of your DON deck!! in your face up cost area.
(The starting player can only place 1 DON!! card on their first turn.)
Main Phase
You can perform actions 1 to 4 in any order and as many times as you want.
- Play a card:
Play a card by passing that many DON!! of your "cost area" in "rested" position than the "cost" of the card.
Event cards are sent to the "Trash" after being played. - Attach DON cards!!
Choose DON cards!! in the "active" position and attach them to your Leader or Character cards.
When a card with DON!! attached leaves the "field", the DON!! attached are placed in your "cost area" in "rested" mode. - Use a card's effect
Use the effects of your Leader or Characters on your "field" by fulfilling their conditions. - Tackle
Attack by passing from the "active" position to "rested" a Character or Leader of your "field".
Please note that Characters cannot attack the turn they are played.
Players also cannot attack on their first turn.
The fights
Switch from the "active" position to "rested" 1 Character or Leader on your "field" and designate a target to attack.
All "When Attacking" effects will activate and resolve after the target is chosen.
The player who is attacked can activate the Blocker ability of one of his Characters.
The player being attacked may play a Counter card from their hand.
Compare the "Power" value of the attacking and attacked cards. The attacking card wins if its "Power" is greater than or equal to that of the card being attacked, leading to one of these results:
If a Leader is attacked:
The defeated Leader takes 1 damage.
If a Character is attacked:
The defeated Character is knocked out and is sent to the "trash".
If the attacking Character is defeated:
Nothing happens.
When your Leader takes a damage, add a card from your "Life" to your hand.
If the card added to your hand has Trigger , you may reveal it and activate its Trigger effect.
If a player has no more cards in his "Life" zone and his Leader receives a damage, he loses the game.
End Phase
All "during this turn" effects end.
